I was an accidental child. My mother was never given an option, just taken to my father's house and marriage arrangements made. Am I happy to be here? Sure. Would I have known if I wasn't? No. I would have simply chosen another life to live.
For all the growth that I was allowed because of my life and the way it happened, my parents had an awful life and bitterness is still very much a part of it. Today I do not speak to my mother after my parent's divorce because she refuses to let revenge go. Is living without a mother worth it? I know no other way, but this one is not easy.
